A Message to Members and Friends of WAC
|
The World Association of Copepodologists (WAC) officially decided at its
business meeting during the 9th International Conference on Copepoda in
Hammamet, Tunisia to hold the 10th Conference in Thailand in
2008.
I am pleased to
announce that the 10th International Conference on Copepoda
will be held between 13 and 19 July 2008, in Asia Pattaya Beach Hotel,
Pattaya, Thailand. From a fishing village in the 1960's, Pattaya has
emerged as the favorite Southeast Asian vacation center. Pattaya city is
located on the east cost of the Gulf of Thailand (Pacific Ocean) and can
be easily reached by the newly constructed motorway within 2 hours. It
is 147 km southeast of Bangkok and about 120 km from the new
Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
It is the pleasure of
the Local Organizing Committee for the 10th International
Conference on Copepoda to extend its invitation to all people interested
in the study of copepods, members and non-members, to attend the
conference.
More information will
be posted at http://www.champa.kku.ac.th/10ICOC/ starting from January
2006. Registration and submission of abstracts will be accepted through
the meeting web site. All future announcements will be available from
the web site as well as MONOCULUS. We look forward to meeting you at the
10th ICOC in July 2008 in Pattaya, Thailand. |
